ALWAYS BELIEVE IN PINK

audrey hepburn,

one of the world’s most iconic women once said: “I believe in pink”. And I couldn’t agree more.

It all starts with birth. As a baby girl, you were probably born in this pink paradise with pink baby socks, pink painted walls and your parents are sending out pink baby birth announcements while you’re sleeping underneath your fluffy pink blanket. But the older you get, the more your little paradise fades and slowly transforms into the real world. On this journey called life you start realizing your pink baby socks don’t fit anymore and you have to step it up. And for some reason, you’re expected to dash the pink and come over to the dark side of adulthood. Black boots and leather jackets arise, you brave up and it seems to be the end of an era.

But, it is not. How tough or how old we may get or are, pink is the one thing all women on this planet will always have in common. It’s the color that defines us, that stands for persevering your girly dreams and it combines incredibly stunning with black.

So, to emphasize my believe in pink, I went a little Jackie ‘O ; All black with the power of pink. And to top this “who-run-the-world-girls-girls” story off: I took the train, went all the way up to the Upper East Side and sat on these very special pinks stairs leading to the home of Audrey Hepburn’s character Holly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s!

The olive green door is still the same and – how ironic – the stairs are still pink. The townhouse is for sale btw, so if you have 8 million it can be yours….

Anyhow, long story short:
