and then…
I met Rendall! Isn’t he coolest dog on the block?! I love love love this dog and I love how New York can be. Sometimes she is rude, abusive, aggressive and screams. But, she can also be so nice. Like at this Soho morning. During shooting we ran into Rendall and his owner. Since I’m a huge sucker for dog love, I had to ask if this badass was up for a photo or two. After a short chit-chat with his photographer – what a coincidence – owner, it turned out Rendall was a killer poser, and absolutely completed my burglar look of the day. I say: best NY dog of the day!
About the look. I think it’s the beanie, the black and the leather, making this ensemble looks like I’m about to rob a bank and I kind of like it! Sometimes you’re not in the mood of being all polished and glammy, you just want to horse around – or maybe better: dog around – town. I think this look suits moods like that perfectly and I find it somehow simple and sassy. On one hand it’s pretty simple concerning it’s colors: black, touches of grey and dark blue. On the other hand the different materials and more edgy accessories prevents it from being one dull grey-blue-situation. From my opinion, that’s the key to upgrading a conservative classic color scheme to something more striking. Just rebel with leather elements, different fabrics and – like the fringe gloves – accessories and make something cool out of something simple.
Haha, love the title of this post and what a great look too! Perfect layering and you rock this socks xx
